1 Week Challenge: Day and Night Skincare Routine

Last Saturday, I decided to try another product brand for my skincare routine. I went to Watsons Ayala and picked some of the items I definitely wanted to try if it’s a yay or a nay on my skin or does it really lift away my breakouts and acnes. Hmmm… how about I do a One Week Challenge in which I should be observing the differences, changes or improvements on my skin after a week of constantly using the products.

So to start the regimen, I got this Nivea Extra White Repair Pore Minimiser Mud Foamskincare

It claims to remove impurities and 10 make-up residues that causes dullness, acne and enlarged pores.

I must admit ever since I am using powder foundations everyday, I always have breakouts on my forehead and cheeks which is a very terrifying scenario for us, girls. Concealers hide them but everytime I begin to sweat out and my face started to cake, my large bumps of pimples started to get visible.

It’s really hard for me to find the perfect products that match with my combination skin (normal to oily).

I used to clean my face before I sleep with my Maybelline Miceller Water alone, but I realized it’s doesn’t cleanse my face fully 100%. And when I wake up in the morning, I feel really greasy all over my face.

In this updated skincare routine, I use my Nivea Mud Foam in the morning everytime I take a bath. Just squeeze a minimal amount of the product and gently massage it all over the face and in the surface of the neck and rinse afterwards. My face smells good and fresh which I liked the most.

While in the evening, I switch to my organic facial wash from Himalaya Herbals Clear Complexion Whitening Face Wash (which I featured on my previous blog) and just gently massaging a liberal amount of the product onto my skin and rinse it afterwards.

Next is I am toning and making sure that my face is perfectly cleansed and impurity-free with my Nivea Extra White Repair Pore Minimiser Toner.

This is the perfect pair for my Nivea facial foam. Just damp the right amount of product you needed into a piece of cotton pad and gently rub it all over your face focusing on the problem areas.

It really leaves my skin refreshed and cool. Plus it smells really good.

And to finally set my skin and keep it moisturized all day and night, I am using my St. Ives Collagen Elastin Moisturizer.

Collagen is an important building block for elasticity, and its ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is also essential for the health and appearance of your skin, and this protein is also necessary to reduce the typical signs of aging.

This is my first time to use and include collagen on my skincare essentials and so far, I am starting to love it! I feel my skin so supple and smooth all day and when I wake up in the morning (after leaving it overnight).

Also what I like about this moisturizer is it doesn’t feel sticky and heavy when applied on the face and at the same time it smells revitalizing.

So there you go of my current skincare products. I will update you guys about the results after one week if all of this really worked for me or it just kept my acnes worst.

Stay tuned!
