I was really craving for Korean dishes lately and so I did a little research for the best Korean restaurant in Cebu. It took me days to decide where since I’m looking for good reviews and feedbacks as well as excellent customer service. I came up with SOmunnan MACchang located at FLB Center, 2nd Floor, right beside the Ayala PUV Terminal. I booked for an early reservation and I am surprised how active their Facebook page is and how they instantly get back to your messages.
We went their around 8:30 pm with Chad. It was fortunately not that crowded so we just seated at the corner side. We ordered the Moksal (neck meat or porkchop) and Samgyeopsal (pork belly) for P250/each servings (200 grams). Each menu already comes with side dishes like Spicy Soft Tofu Stew, Kimchi, Anchovies, Cucumber, Sauteed Green Beans and Beef Broth. So I guess it’s a good thing already for P250. We also got 2 bowls of plain rice and a pitcher of iced tea which costs P50 and P90 respectively.
The staff got our orders and immediately assembled the pan for grilling and then the side dishes followed. We started grilling when both our meat were already served. I enjoyed doing this all the time so I was the one who cooked the meat and Chad was the one who cuts it after.
I would love to recommend this place for pocket-friendly Korean dishes and great service. It was nice dining here!
